Who is behind Kawaii Munich?

Hello and konnichiwa - my name is Yuki!

I have been living in Munich with my husband and our two daughters (5 and 15 years old) for almost 19 years.

Germany - and especially Munich - has become my second home - but I still have close ties to Japan and I go there regularly.

I love culture and design from Japan - which is reflected in my home in many ways. Handicraft is also a passion of mine -

Unfortunately, many craft traditions have been lost but there are now young artisans who practice them  Traditions again  revive and develop your own style.

It's really exciting to see how the traditional and the modern can create something new.

That is also my intention. Many think when they do  Japan listen to samurai, geisha, manga, sushi…. But my home country offers so much more! And there are many beautiful, unique designs from Japan. Mixing tradition and modernity, I would like to show that to my second home, Munich!

Everything I sell at Kawaii-Munich is shaped by my love for my homeland. With this shop I would like to bring a piece of the Japanese way of life to Germany. I want to create a platform that brings my home a little closer to you.

In addition to selling products, I offer various workshops.

I would be very happy to get to know you there personally and to share the joy of Japanese culture with you!

Since November 2020 I have opened a shop with other 3 brands in Georgen Str. 81 80798 Munich.

Come over! I would be very happy to get to know you personally!

YOUR YUKI
